I've been searching aroung the forums for a solution on fixing the startup crash that several people have been experiencing Where the game loads the shaders and what-not and then crashes, apparently this game is infamous for getting to run on modern systems. From what I read, some people are saying that the game flat out refuses to work completely on Windows 7 bit while others say it's a hyperthreading problem.

Is there a way to fix this issue? Because I have both of these things and I get the feeling I may have to use a completely different PC just to play this one game Which I absolutely loved on the which would be rather silly.

So is there any way around this issue or am I completely out of luck on this matter?
