Will watching cable TV and Blueray movies, the sound will come out of the surround sound system and not the TV speakers. When watching some lower quality YouTube videos, it will switch over to the TV speakers automatically and then switch back to surround again with better quality recordings. Operating the TV and surround sound will require that you juggle two remotes. We installed the speaker system with a Samsung monitor and set them up at the same time.

The two coordinate very well and we are able to control the sound with the TV's remote without using any other device or remote.
